Battery storage can decouple generation and demand over time and provide grid-supporting flexibility. Site, grid, revenue model and a robust technical concept are decisive.
PLAN 8 has planned modular battery storage from open land through industrial-scale systems since 2022. Storage can provide balancing services, smooth power fluctuations, reduce peaks and make better use of available grid connections.
Stand-alone or combined with wind and solar
Stand-alone storage is connected to the grid as an independent asset. In co-location projects, storage is combined with a wind or solar farm. Where grid capacity is scarce, looking at the assets together can create new options.
The modular design can also suit compact sites. PLAN 8 assesses land and grid access, coordinates permit planning and develops the project through turnkey handover. Additional components such as charging infrastructure can be included in the assessment.
