The PLAN 8 Group has its roots in the Jesaitis family’s early wind energy projects in Schleswig-Holstein. Today we combine project development, delivery and operations management.

Welcome to the PLAN 8 Group

The PLAN 8 Group comprises PLAN 8 GmbH, PLAN 8 TM GmbH and 20 companies and interests in Europe, Latin America and Africa. Our aim is to advance renewable energy around the world.

The Group’s roots lie with the Jesaitis family from Wesselburen in Schleswig-Holstein. Dirk Jesaitis and his father were pioneers of the wind energy sector and installed their first wind turbines in 1990. Dirk Jesaitis remains actively involved as owner and managing director of the companies in the PLAN 8 Group.

This experience carries projects from the initial concept through many years of operation to renewal and repowering.

Project work beyond Germany

Alongside its projects in Germany, PLAN 8 has worked across Europe and internationally for many years. One example is a ground-mounted photovoltaic plant delivered on Crete, Greece, at the end of 2010.

Further areas of focus in the published international project portfolio include Latin America and South Africa, particularly the development of large wind farms and ground-mounted photovoltaic plants. The historical world map below illustrates how this international footprint developed.

PLAN 8 GmbH

PLAN 8 GmbH applies comprehensive expertise to the development and delivery of wind energy and photovoltaic plants. Project development is the core business of the planning office based in Eckernförde.

Site planning, technical design, permitting and delivery are treated as one connected process. This keeps responsibility clear from the first assessment through commissioning.

PLAN 8 TM GmbH

PLAN 8 TM GmbH has been part of the PLAN 8 Group since October 2010. Its technical and commercial operations expertise supports the safe operation of the assets under management and helps to improve their efficiency continuously.

PLAN 8 TM GmbH manages assets from its locations in Eckernförde and Niebüll. Remote monitoring, technical coordination and commercial evaluation work together as one service.
